TWENTY TEN MUSIC is an artist-run collective of songwriters, recording artists, composers and programmers. Our emphasis is on artist development, music publishing, and Film/TV/Commercial synch licensing. We develop musical artists. We administrate full and partial publishing catalogs as well as masters. We are a one-stop shop for film and TV music supervisors and do music supervision ourselves on a select basis. We do not accept unsolicited material. For inquiries on our music, artists, and services, please use twenty ten music at me dot com.
awesome letter to jayz
I heard about Twenty Ten on music business radio (Lightning 100) and then looked you up. I really liked the blog about the future of music. This is the kind of stuff that indie artists need to know. I am not sure what it all means for the guy on the street (read: me). As a singer/songwriter/artist..what should I be doing more of and less of if I want to make my music my career? Is the old model of “play as many shows as possible” even when you don’t have a draw, still valid? Should I concentrate on recording or getting all my websites linked and updated or should I just play shows? I realise that you have to do it all but what do you think is going to help me most in ten years time?
